Employee Wellness Coordinator
- Plan, design, modify and implement employee wellness programs to meet the needs of the current workforce and the goals of the university to improve health and prevent diseases and disability. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.Responsible for the oversight of all tobacco cessation resources, deliverables, invoices, report compilation, continuations/renewals, and develop marketing strategies, coordinating program supplies and educational materials and talking points for the Tobacco Free UC campaign.Develop and coordinate regular communications with campus community to support wellness initiatives and resources using social media and publications such as newsletters, brochures, and emails. Serve as a health and wellness resource. Coordinate promotion at health fairs and events. Deliver/implement health related programs utilizing a variety of strategies: marketing campaigns, group sessions, lectures, etc. Provide trainings and workshops on various health and well-being topics. Coordinate and implement vendor provided programs and arrange for contracted services.Assist in development of internship and volunteer opportunities for health profession students.Must maintain confidentiality with high level of integrity. Responsible for accurate and timely storage of HR-related documents in accordance with UC’s Records Retention Schedule.Perform related duties based on departmental need. - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, Counseling or any other health-related field and minimum of one (1) years full-time experience in developing, delivering, and measuring health education programs Or a Bachelor’s Degree in a non-health field along with a minimum of 3 years full-time Wellness program experience.
- Experience in delivering tobacco cessation counseling to a diverse population.Experience in presenting well-being topics to small and large groups live or via WebEx.Experience in preparing marketing materials on health-related topics.Excellent written communication skills.
This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
