Partners with colleagues across the college to deliver operational and service excellence in reporting, data analytics and system functionality for HR. The incumbent will have an opportunity to make significant contributions to the college’s newly implemented Workday reporting environments, and to influence the future direction of data analytics and data modeling in a multi-source enterprise environment. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for generating and supporting HR reports and dashboards utilizing Workday reporting tools as well as providing guidance to users within Human Resources. The incumbent will identify HR technical requirements and act as the liaison with stakeholders to manage the report development process through requirement gathering, data analysis, support, and report development and verification. In addition, the incumbent will work with the applications and integration team on HR Workday enhancement.

●Experience in developing Workday customer report and dashboard, or experience using industry leading reporting tools such like Cognos, Tableaus or Argos
●Excellent data analytical skills with advanced data query and data modelling ability to effectively sample and aggregate complex dataset
●Familiarity with HR operations and business procedures that dictates operational, external and compliance reporting
●Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including complex formulas and macro creation
●Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with proven dedication to excellence in customer service
●Ability to benchmark and analyze data to assist high-level decision-making
●Strong relationship building and collaboration skills in order to acquire trust of business partners
●Excellent documentation, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
●Ability to multi-task and perform effective time management
●5 year experience in developing reports, data analytics or data model
●Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields of study, or combined work experience and education as equivalent
•Experience with Data Model, data analytics including, but not limited to, Cognos report, Tableaus or leading industry tools
●Experience in developing Workday report such as Workday Studio, BIRT, RaaS, Metrix or composite report
●Workday Prism experience is highly desirable
●Good project management experience and ability of attention to detail
●HR functional knowledge in a high education environment

•Analyze, design and build new custom reports and dashboards using Workday report builder and other advanced standard tools including Workday Studio, BIRT or other organizational tools and technologies. Serve as an escalation point for developing HR reports, as well as troubleshooting, and optimizing report issues in a timely manner
●Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and ensure that results meet business needs. Demonstrate a high-level subject matter expertise in HR function to bridge business requirements and system solutions. Facilitate collaborative data design sessions with HR team, HR partners, and technical resources. Educate and promote self-service reporting functionality with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies
●Ensure integrity of HRIS data through troubleshooting irregularities and partner with HRIS teams and other campus stakeholders to define and document data standards, and correct discrepancies to ensure cross-functional data integrity and consistency. Work closely with HR to build cohesive business processes to allow for operational success and to drive consistency in the usage of HR data in various business metrics
●Provide recommendations and leadership in shaping and building a future data model and data analytics solutions. Analyze and benchmark data to assist high-level decision-making for efficiency and effectiveness of HR functions.
●Review and assess impact of report based on functional changes being proposed within Workday upgrades, conduct regression testing and make recommendations for report enhancements. Maintain awareness of current trends in Workday. Actively participate in Workday Community by contributing to content, voting on brainstorms. Maintain proper change management documentation to satisfy the college’s internal and external audit and security policies
●Supports the development of strategy, policies, procedures, training development and training delivery related to the use, responsibilities, access and work flow of all HR Systems ensuring maximum usage, productivity and effective interfaces among all HR Technologies.
●Lead, plan and execute on projects for HR Technology that will lead to better efficiency and effectiveness of the HR function. Ensures that all aspects of a project are completed prior to release of a new tool or feature of any HR system; includes business requirements, testing strategy, test scripts, testing, user documentation, training and report needs where applicable
●Participate in enterprise-wide IT project initiatives that require reporting and data modeling regarding that impact integrations and data conversions
