The Community School Program Coordinator develops, directs and manages the school-based University and Community collaboration located at Fountain Hill Elementary School . The incumbent will work in accordance with the strategic goals of the Center for Community Engagementand under the supervision of the Associate Director for the Center for Community Engagement/Assistant Dean & Director of the Community Service Office.

Accountabilities:
  1. Directs activities of CDUEL-Community School Program located at Fountain Hill Elementary School
    • Coordinates outlined programs and services by directly supervising and/or communicating with designated individuals responsible for programs dealing with: physical health, dental, mental health, extended-day enrichment opportunities, extended-day recreational opportunities, family-involvement strategies/events/programming, specialty services and other special projects as needed
  2. Directs student programs
    • Directs the planning of social, recreational and curricular programs
    • Reviews budgets and directs appropriations
    • Represents the University on issues related to student programs and activities
  3. Performs accounting functions
    • Compiles and analyzes statistical data
  4. Arranges meetings
    • Schedules and arranges meetings
    • Prepares and distributes invitations and tracks responses
    • Types and distributes agenda
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
  2. Three to five years related work experience in K-12 school or Higher Ed
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Solid writing ability and organizational skills
  5. Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
  6. Solid computer skills with experience using word processing and spreadsheet software
  7. Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, county and national criminal background checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance. Based upon the requirements of the position Lehigh may also request credit history reports, motor vehicle checks and professional license/certification verification

  • This position has fiscal or financial responsibilities other than employee expense activity, such as processing or approving transactions; monitoring or preparing budgets; or generating income for University
  • This position works with minors
  • Will work a variable shift; some days starting at 7:30 am but others as late as 11:00 pm.
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours
