Post Doctoral Teaching/Research Position

Position Summary: The NMSU Department of Learning Design and Technology (LDT) in the College of Education (CoE) seeks a postdoctoral instructor/researcher who will support the LDT program. The position is situated in the LDT program wherein a deepening partnership with the College of Education’s Teacher Education Program (TEP) is of critical focus. This partnership is addressing CAEP accreditation requirement for improving technology integration into the Teacher Education Program (TEP). This critical positioning offers significant opportunity for publication of original research. The successful candidate will have the capacity and resources to conduct instruction and research related to technology integration in education. In addition to addressing current projects, the successful candidate will be encouraged to develop innovative research concepts and projects.

Duties: The candidate will have demonstrated experience in LDT field related online course/curriculum development, university-level teaching, and research planning. The candidate will demonstrate and possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively for both teaching and research assignments.

Required Qualifications: The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Learning Design and Technology, Educational Technology, or in a closely related field within the past four years (applications from individuals planning to complete their Ph.D. by the fall or 2019 will also be considered).

Preferred for position: Experience in online course design and teaching; experience with Quality Matters Rubric or similar standard-based course design experience; teaching experience in the area of technology integration in education; excellent writing and communication skills; excellent skills in research methods and data presentation.
