The Department of Marketing at the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor level with a focus on international marketing, effective August 16, 2020.

Primary duties include teaching marketing at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

The international marketing group is an integrated apart of the Marketing department (https://marketing.culverhouse.ua.edu/). Given the nature of IB within the Marketing department, the ideal candidate will span Marketing and IB with research and teaching interests that are firmly rooted in both areas and their interface. Candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in international business and marketing and have the opportunity to work with doctoral students.

Department faculty serve in leadership roles in the academic community (AIB, AMA Global Marketing SIG) and on the ERBs of leading IB/MKTG journals (JIBS, JIM, IMR).

The ideal candidate would contribute to these efforts by publishing in top-tier Marketing and IB journals, working with doctoral students, and engaging in appropriate service activities.

Required Qualifications: Applications are invited from candidates who have completed their doctorate (or expect to complete their doctorate by August 16, 2020) in marketing, international business, or a related field and have research and teaching experience commensurate with appointment as an assistant/associate professor of marketing at a state flagship university.

Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and achievements.

Preferred Qualifications: Several years of academic experience with excellence in teaching and interacting with students at various levels as well as an established record (or high potential) of research published in top-tier marketing and international business journals.

Assistant Level: We are seeking candidates with a strong research foundation who have also begun to establish a potential for publishing in top journals.

Associate Level: We are seeking candidates with a strong, established record of success publishing in top-tier journals and with a significant pipeline indicating continued success in the future.
