Basic Function

This position provides administrative and fiscal support services to multiple Administrative Services departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with planning, budgeting, scheduling and providing support to multiple departments within the Administration department. Provide customer support to students, faculty, staff and visitors as appropriate. Manage electronic files by tracking and maintaining records and other related documents. Act as liaison between the Director of Administration and other staff and faculty in absence of EAA. Other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Some experience working in an office environment
Experience or training utilizing PC-based applications, spreadsheets and/or databases to track and analyze data
Expertise in communicating effectively with a diverse group of people

Preferred Qualifications

AA in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
Knowledge of accounts payable, or accounts receivable processes and policies.
Experience working in higher education.
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze data and Oracle-based applications, such as Peoplesoft AIS.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience interacting in a professional and courteous manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Proficient in typing, scheduling, note-taking and other basic administrative duties.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite with specific experience using Excel to generate reports and track data.
Knowledge of standard office and administrative tools and equipment
Expertise in communicating effectively with a diverse group of people
