Associates Degree in related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the Professional and Academic Center for Excellence (PACE) department.

Primary Responsibilities

Performs advanced administrative assistant duties. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Schedules appointments and activities. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Maintains organized files and records. Attends meetings and takes notes. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. Orders and maintains supply inventory. Handles P-Card and other purchases and submits expense reports. Monitors budget, accounts, and expenses. May create marketing materials. Assists with registrations and workshop seminars. Plans and coordinates events (room reservations, catering, promotional items, etc.). Supervises student employees. Conducts research for preparation and dissemination of information. Completes travel arrangements, requisitions and expense reports. Writes and submits reports on events and programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.
