Associates Degree in design related field. Three years of experience in a related field. Experience compiling and maintaining records, assessing data details, inventory tracking and general auditing of records preferred. One year interior design experience desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs advanced specialist duties for Facilities Planning and Construction.

Primary Responsibilities

Performs specialist duties related to interior design and inventory management. Responsible for coordinating the Fixture, Furnishings and Equipment (FFE) requirements on projects including but not limited to FFE budget management, procurement, invoicing and accounts payable. Initiates returns and warranty tracking on all FFE related items. Communicates and coordinates with end users, architects, contractors, and other project team members. Ensures compliance with contract documents as it relates to FFE. Ensures power and other building service requirements for FFE are accurately indicated in design documents. Responsible for scheduling FFE shipments and management of the delivery and installation process. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Care and attention is required in the performance of duties to prevent injury to self or others.

Position requires driving and operating a university vehicle; therefore, a valid Texas driver license and driving record acceptable to the university’s insurance carrier is required.
