Description

Under the supervision of theDirector of Clinical Education, the OT Fieldwork Coordinator works closely withthe Clinical Education team to develop and maintain relationships withfieldwork sites and provide support to students and clinical supervisors.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

•Advise students on Fieldwork placements
•Communicate with sites to assign students to Fieldwork placements
•Communicate with sites to recruit new placements
•Collaborate with SHRS Clinical Education Systems Analyst and OT Program Coordinator to execute new contracts or re-negotiate standing contracts
•Develop educational material for site coordinators and clinical supervisors
•Work collaboratively with faculty, clinical supervisors, and program staff to support fieldwork education experiences
•Liaison with sites regarding mutual benefits of working with Fieldwork students
•Assist with supporting students who require Fieldwork remediation
•Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein


Training / Time Required To Learn Job Responsibilities
1 academic year to be exposed to all types of fieldwork placements 



QualificationsEducation and Experience Qualifications
Massachusetts OT License; NBCOT Occupational Therapy Registration; graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Master’s degree preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required

Administrative Skills
Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written forms. Ability to professionally manage confidential information. Aptitude with general office software and the ability to become adept in using Institute-specific software and systems (E*Value, Excel, etc.). Ability to work well under pressure, manage time, and set priorities. Ability to collaborate well within a team.

Technical Skills
Ability to perform OT evaluations and interventions consistent with the current OT Practice Framework: Domain and Process.
