Colby-Sawyer College invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean, School of Nursing and Health Sciences and Director of Clinical Partnerships.

Colby-Sawyer College is a private, independent, undergraduate and graduate college located 90 miles from Boston, MA and 45 miles from Manchester, NH.  It is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) consisting of three Schools that offer 42 majors, minors and concentrations.  The College has a total workforce of 320 full-time dedicated employees, including 59 full-time faculty members.  All faculty embrace a student-centered philosophy of teaching and mentoring which caters to the needs of individual students and fosters student success.

This position represents a unique opportunity to join the College as it strategically pivots to a focus on the health sciences with a commitment to educate students in a residential, liberal arts, and sciences-based model that transforms lives.  Reporting to the Academic Vice President and Dean of Faculty, the Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences will partner closely with faculty and staff within the School as well as with the other Deans and clinical and community partners including Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in nursing or another health profession, progressive administrative leadership experience in an academic environment and experience with academic program building, especially in the areas of workforce development in health professions.  We seek candidates with a proven record of building partnerships and who demonstrates evidence of organizational leadership and change management.  The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, a high degree of professionalism and considerable financial and business acumen.  The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of what it takes to help grow market share and advance all health sciences academic programs in a competitive higher education environment.
