This vital position shares telephone and general reception duties with other full-time and part-time members of the Customer Service Team in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The primary responsibilities are to answer a multi-line telephone system, provide general information, and refer the calls to appropriate members of the admissions staff. In addition, the person in this position will greet visitors to the office, reply to email inquiries, and enter prospect information in the recruitment database. An Information Clerk also occasionally assists other areas of the office by preparing student information, such as assembling packets, pulling files, stuffing envelopes, and other routine tasks.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- PC, MS Word, and Excel proficiency
Climb stairs and lift/carry items up to 30 lbs.
Sit for long periods of time
