Position Summary

Duties: Responsibilities include teaching in the first-year writing program, the Professional Writing undergraduate program, and the Experience Architecture (XA) undergraduate program, and engaging in curriculum-development activities.

These positions will be filled on an as needed basis. Applicants in this pool will be reviewed initially in April/May in order to fill known vacancies for the 2018-19 academic year , subsequent applicants in this pool will be reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy.

Doctorate - Rhetoric & Writing or appropriate terminal degree

Minimum Requirements

Position requirements: For fixed-term assistant professor positions, a PhD in rhetoric and writing studies or appropriate terminal degree in a related field or subfield (e.g., writing studies, technical communication, professional writing, information architecture, experience architecture, digital media studies) is required. For instructor positions, an MA in rhetoric and writing studies or closely related subfield is required.
