Position SummaryAs a member of the central University Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage a range of responsibilities including sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating background checks, conducting reference checks, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, posting and tracking recruitment advertisements, researching industry best practices, scheduling interviews, communicating with Talent Managers throughout the recruitment process, and managing various ad hoc projects.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalentRequired Experience:2+ years recruitment related experience or equivalent combination of experience and educationRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Exceptional communication skills including superior verbal and written communication. Ability to handle a high volume of work quickly and effectively. Ability to be objective, detail-oriented, juggle multiple tasks, and work well under pressure. Ability to communicate with individuals of all levels with confidence and poise. Strong professionalism, judgement, tact and business sense. Excellent organization skills including attention to detail and follow up. Team-oriented. Ability to handle confidential information. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite software.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of employment laws and EEO policies.
