Program Manager - Georgetown University Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement

Requirements

Program Manager - Georgetown University Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement

The Program Manager ("PM") supports the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement ("OVPGE") with relationship management, events planning, and administrative and strategic programmatic support. S/he helps to build and maintain key relationships with internal and external partners. S/he provides administrative support to the VPGE, including managing his calendars, and overseeing events from ideation, execution, to post-event follow-up.

the Program Manager works with members of the Global Communications Group on coordinating marketing and publicity efforts of events and programmatic activities, and managing communication outreach through web platforms, social media, and print media. S/he collaborates with the Director for Finance and Administration ("DFA") to provide necessary information to aid in the development and oversight of event budgets, reports and analysis. The PM's duties include but are not limited to:

Executive and Administrative Support
  • Conducts email and phone correspondence in support of the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with key partners.
  • Manages calendars for the VPGE. Takes notes at high-level meetings.

Events
  • Manages and assists in events preparation, execution, and follow up. This entails scheduling and logistics; managing vendors; overseeing event budgets and payments; coordinating travel arrangements and accommodations; performing communications outreach via traditional and social media platforms; and serving as a representative of the OVPGE at events.

Strategic Analysis
  • Oversees the production of research and reports in support of Georgetown's global engagement.
  • Provides programmatic support to various strategic global initiatives and programs housed under the OVPGE.

Financial
  • Develops and oversees event and programmatic budgets, and developing post-event reports and analysis in collaboration with the Senior Business Officer.
  • Assists in drafting and negotiating contracts.

Supervisory and Other Tasks as Assigned
  • Oversees the work of 1-2 student assistant(s).
  • Serves as a mentor to support their professional development.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned, including supporting faculty grant competitions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Outstandingorganizational,writing, and editingskills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Interest in the global dimension of higher education.

Preferred qualification:
  • Fluency (written and oral) in: Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Hindi.
