The Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in civil engineering, construction engineering, and environmental engineering.
Graduate programs are offered with specialties in computing and systems, construction engineering, water resources, coastal and environmental engineering, structural engineering and mechanics, transportation systems and materials, geotechnical/ geoenvironmental engineering, and mechanics and materials.

Teach graduate and undergraduate courses: CE250, Introduction to Sustainable Infrastructure, and CE401/501, Transportation Systems Engineering.
Advise undergraduate students; develop a research program that includes the supervision of graduate students and their theses, and pursue external funds through the preparation of research proposals to state and federal agencies as well as to foundations and private companies to support research. Engage in service to the department, university, and profession in a collegial manner.Other Work/Responsibilities
Requires PhD in Civil Engineering or closely related field, and coursework or experience with: research area in transportation planning and economics; research focus on socioeconomic impacts of transportation investments and emerging technologies, transportation accessibility of vulnerable population groups, public transportation and affordable housing nexus, and other transportation equity-related topics; causal identification and quasi-experimental econometric methods; spatial statistical analysis; spatial econometric reduced-from and structural equation models; and travel behavior research using advanced choice models.Departmental Required Skills
