The Department of Management at the University of Georgia is among the most productive in the country, ranking 8th in the Texas A&M/UGA Rankings of Management Department Productivity in 2017. The Strategy group includes Scott Graffin (former associate editor for AMJ), Mike Pfarrer (former associate editor for AMR), Timothy Quigley, Daniel Gamache, and Susan Cohen (Kaufman Foundation Research Fellow). The OB group includes Jason Colquitt (former editor-in-chief of AMJ), Bob Vandenberg (former editor-in-chief of ORM), Marie Mitchell (associate editor for PPsych), Jessica Rodell (associate editor for AMJ), Laura Little, Fadel Matta, and Erin Long.

Position Summary

The Department of Management in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia seeks qualified applicants for a full-time tenure-track or tenured position in Strategic Management at the Assistant, senior Assistant or junior Associate level, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2020.

Additional Requirements

To be considered, applicants may be in the process of completing their PhD, or currently hold the rank of assistant professor, or be an associate professor with 1 to 3 years’ experience post-promotion. The selected candidate must have completed a Ph.D. in Management or a closely related field prior to appointment. A research record commensurate with rank, demonstrated excellence in teaching strategic management at the graduate and/or undergraduate level, and the desire to work in a collegial, interdisciplinary department also are required.
