Description

The UCLA Department of Family Medicine and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA have an exciting new opportunity for a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician.

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine or Med/Ped Combined
  • Completion of an accredited fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine
  • Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine (CAQSM)
  • California medical license
  • Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound guided procedures and imaging
  • Experience as a Team Physician at the collegiate and/or professional level.
  • Independent and able to maintain a clinical practice as a member of a larger Primary Care Sports Medicine Team
  • Coordinate and collaborate with primary care providers and musculoskeletal specialists in an integrated multi-specialty organization.
  • Willingness to be involved in local and regional sports medicine community endeavors

The sought after candidate will join our teaching faculty in our Sports Medicine Program. Academic appointment will be in the Health Sciences clinical series with rank and salary commensurate with level of experience. Responsibilities include clinical care in both sports medicine and family medicine clinics, teaching within an ACGME approved fellowship program, team physician duties with the Los Angeles Dodgers and/or UCLA Intercollegiate Athletics, participation in clinical research, curriculum design and other scholarly endeavors that will lead to academic promotion.

Location: UCLA Health, Downtown Los Angeles Office, or UCLA Main Campus in Westwood/Santa Monica CA
Anticipated Start Date: November 2019
