Enrollment Manager

Position Information:
  • Position Purpose The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and evangelistic in bringing the Hocking Advantage to new students far and near.
    The manager will be spearheading and directing this team with solutions selling in order to offer great student outcomes.The team will consist of a ‘Navigation Manager' who will be primarily inside based and leverage phone and online technology and be reachable to the rest of the team during times where the enrollment manager travels to promote and evangelize Hocking.
    Under the supervision of the Director of Enrollment, the Enrollment Manager will be responsible for recruitment initiatives for Hocking College.The primary responsibility is to encourage students to choose Hocking College as their destination for the pursuit of higher education when it is in their best interest.She/he will work with the other internal and external stakeholders to identify key college features and communicate these to prospective students and other supportive individuals. They will be able to promote educational outcomes as well as answer questions concerning academics, student housing, campus life and activities, tuition, how to apply, and more.
    The Enrollment Manager will be expected to facilitate and develop internal and external partnerships and be able to create and implement recruitment strategies to assist in the continued growth of the college.They will conduct high school recruitment visits, attend college fairs and other promotional activities, track and close all leads, assist applicants with the enrollment process, and develop and implement recruitment programs and events. They will manage partnership follow-up and maintain a clean record of events and prospect conversions in order to increase student enrollment at the College.This position will require extensive outreach efforts and interpersonal communications throughout all phases of recruitment and enrollment functions.
    The Enrollment Manager position will require frequent travel including overnight stays, to the college's six district scholar counties including Athens, Fairfield, Hocking, Perry, Pickaway and Ross and with travel outside of these counties.Travel territories are subject to change at the discretion of the college. A flexible work schedule is required including evenings and weekends.Essentially, the managers and their teams, need to engage with students and prospective students in times optimal to them.
    The Enrollment Manager must possess strong time management skills and have the ability to prioritize, multi-task and balance responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position will have 2-3 years of professional experience within higher education or outside sales and sales management.


    Position Requirements:
  • Duties and Responsibilities
    • Recruit for program and/or territory assignments to ensure effective enrollment of targeted new students.
    • Represent Hocking College both on and off campus to prospective students and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.
    • Cultivate partnerships with local school districts, organizations, and businesses to attract and recruit prospective students.
    • Network and build strong relationships to generate personally developed referrals.
    • Provide excellent customer service to prospective students through consistent and effective outreach, communications and follow-up.
    • Meet with prospective students and their supportive persons to accurately explain program offerings, services and financial aid opportunities in accordance with the student’s interests, education and career goals at internal and external recruitment events.
    • Assist prospective students with the enrollment process.
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of on-campus events, visitations and programs for groups and individuals.
    • Prioritize prospective student leads and foster outbound communication from themselves and their team to prospective students who have an interest in attending Hocking College
    • Work in conjunction with assigned department faculty to partner on student recruitment and engagement initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, training, event planning, external event and school visit coordination, lead engagement, and enrollment forecasting.
    • Provide support and training facilitation for enrollment team, along with other internal departments as needed.

    • Ability to diagnose current operations in order to adapt and evolve tactics and strategies to exceed assigned objectives
    • Excellent oral, written communication and public speaking skills
    • The ability to craft and develop an array of academic and career success solutions
    • Demonstrated a proficiency and have a success history in both outside sales and sales management
    • Be able to travel, work evening and weekends in order to achieve enrollment targets
    • Attract, train and retain a dynamic work team

    • Demonstrate consistent enthusiasm of the Hocking Student Advantage mission
    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associates degree with 2-3 years of related experience.
    • Outside sales and sales management experience.
    • College and enrollment experience a plus (if not, we can train you)
    • Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 15 days of employment.
    • Must demonstrate insurability.
