Geography Adjunct Position

Trinity Christian College invites applications for a part-time adjunct position in Education beginning in August 2019 to teach GEOG 201 – World Geography in the evening.


Ph.D., Ed.D., or M.A. in History, Political Science, or another social science area is required. Candidate must have a background in Geography or teaching Geography at the middle grades/high school level or higher. Previous college-level teaching experience is desired.

Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship between their academic discipline, the preparation of their students, and a vision for human flourishing that emerges from the Christian faith.


This is a part-time adjunct faculty role. Specific teaching assignments will be in the traditional program teaching World Geography to adults in the evening. The course description is:

Geography 201 – World Geography – Students will recognize the process of globalization, discussing the increasing interconnectedness of people and places, present and past, through converging processes of economic, political and cultural change. Students will gain skills to think critically about complicated issues and themes of world geography as they interact with the effects of globalization. Students will also be able to identify significant geographic locations and features.


Compensation is at the rate of $700/credit hour, for a total of $2,100.
