Assistant Vice Chancellor for Corporate Engagement

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) seeks a dynamic leader to serve as an Assistant Vice Chancellor for Corporate Engagement to act as UIC’s principal corporate strategist and build a team to develop and strengthen corporate partnership activities across the entire campus in support of the UIC innovation ecosystem.

The Assistant Vice Chancellor will be a part of the Vice Chancellor for Innovation’s leadership team that will develop and implement strategies to enhance UIC’s position as an innovative and entrepreneurial university, and will work to promote UIC as a place for companies to gain ready-access to innovation, technology, and student talent.

The Assistant Vice Chancellor will define a vision for enhancing UIC’s connectivity with corporate partners, and establish and implement strategies that serve the needs of all modes of corporate engagement at UIC, including student support and internship opportunities, talent recruitment, collaborative research, technology commercialization, workforce development, and strategic giving.

Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master’s degree in business, science, engineering or related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of ten years of experience in developing strategic partnerships between universities/colleges and corporations by identifying alignment between business interests and university/college priorities across a broad range of disciplines. Experience in both higher education administration and corporate setting preferred.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to build consensus among a variety of constituents with competing priorities.
Demonstrated team-building ability and experience in program strategy development and execution.
