Location: Baker College of Jackson
Compensation: Compensation based on education and existing rates for similar positions within Baker College Professional Services, Inc.
Start Date: Fall 2019

Reports To: Program Director
Work Schedule: Varies with maximum of 9 credits per semester or up to 28 hours per week

Baker College Professional Services, Inc. seeks to hire an individual to be assigned to the position of ADJUNCT FACULTY - HEALTH SCIENCE (PART-TIME) for the benefit of and to be located at Baker College of Jackson.

General Statement of Duties:

The primary purpose of the Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time) person is to teach courses in areas of their expertise.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Anatomy and Physiology: Master’s degree in one of the biological sciences; or, Master’s degree in another area with 18 semester hours of graduate; or, Master degree in a healthcare profession and documentation (i.e., transcript evidence) of a biology course with a lab component required; Doctorate preferred
  • Pathophysiology: Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field. Master’s degree in degree in another area with 18 semester hours of graduate work in a related field required; Master’s degree in a healthcare profession and documentation (i.e., transcript evidence of a pathophysiology course); Doctorate preferred
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Google applications experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Teach a specified number of classes
  • Revise, review and/or develop curriculum, as needed
  • Complete all required professional development/training
  • Collect and submit required assessment of student learning data
  • Participate in appropriate campus and system committees, subcommittees, projects, and activities
  • Other duties as assigned
