Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Political Science seeks a temporary faculty member to teach two sections of the three-credit course POL AMER 1014 Introduction to American Politics for the fall semester beginning August 26, 2019. The in-person courses meet on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The course examines the structure, organization and powers of the institutions of American government, including how citizens are linked to government through such things as political parties, interest groups, and elections.
Education Requirements:
Earned Masters degree in political science or related field required.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of the course content required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with record of quality teaching at university level.
