Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Women's & Gender Studies program seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

The anticipated need may include but are not limited to:
-Undergraduate courses: WGST 2100 - Introduction to Women's & Gender Studies; WGST 3500 - Feminist Foundations;
and WGST 4100 - Feminist Theory.
-Graduate courses: WGST 5100 - Feminist Theory; WGST 5800 Gender & Human Trafficking.

Minimum Qualifications:
For undergraduate courses: Master's degree in Women's & Gender Studies; OR Master's in one of the disciplines included in the interdisciplinary area; OR Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours directly related to the assigned course(s).

For graduate courses: ABD or Ph.D. in Women's & Gender Studies; OR ABD or Ph.D. in one of the disciplines included in the interdisciplinary area with certificates or substantial scholarship in Women's & Gender Studies topics.

Preferred Qualifications:
Primary consideration will be given to applicants who are ABD or have a Ph.D. in women's and/or gender studies or another related interdisciplinary-based field. Preference will be given to candidates with formal graduate background and teaching experience in women's, feminist, gender, and/or sexuality studies and with demonstrated relevant scholarly productivity and research/teaching competencies.
