Football Player Personnel

Position Summary

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely through Executive Director of Player Personnel on the structure and direction of recruiting related projects
  • Assist the prospect evaluation process (Identification, Organization, Evaluation, Recruitment)
  • Recruiting video database management (XOS)
  • Recruiting database management (ACS)
  • Review recruiting big board
  • Follow the evaluation process from Player Personnel-Assistants-Coordinators-Head Football Coach
  • Assist with planning of all recruiting related special events (Spring Game, Camp Kickoff Event, etc.)
  • Mentor assigned student athletes with a focus on personal development, academic performance and career planning
  • Summer camp
  • Youth registration/Team assignments
  • Senior 1 Day Camp Rosters/Camp Testing numbers
  • Work with Camp Director on identifying and recruiting top prospects to attend our One Day and High School Camps
  • Assist in supervising staff, graduate assistants, interns, and undergraduate student workers assigned to work in recruiting
  • Assist with recruiting weekend organization
  • Unofficial visits
  • Official visits
  • Continue to develop and strengthen relationships with high school football programs throughout the State of Michigan, Ohio, other Level 1 states and the rest of the United States
  • Help assist the Creative Department in developing strategic plans for the branding and marketing of Michigan State Football
  • Process recruiting related orders, payments and reimbursements, as assigned by supervisor
  • Special projects as assigned by the Executive Director of Player Personnel or Head Coach
  • Required Degree

    Bachelors

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience at the Division 1 or NFL football level in player personnel or recruiting
