Position will provide support for the undergraduate analytics team. Work collaboratively with the faculty and staff to collect and organize learning outcomes across undergraduate majors; design database friendly formats for capturing and managing large distributed data-sets, as well as strategies for aggregating, analyzing, and visualizing data.

Required Qualifications

Complete the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov.
 Have a complete financial aid file (submit all required documents for processing financial aid).
 Must be enrolled at NLU at least half-time for classes needed toward your degree.
 Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate for the Student Assessment Assistant, FWS must possess the following abilities: have an interest in spreadsheets, databases, computer science, and education, particularly with curriculum and assessment; strong written and oral communication skills, highly detailed-oriented; have existing computer skills; Excellent phone and email etiquette; professional demeanor; must be able to maintain confidentiality; must be highly organized; be able to problem solve; critical thinking skills;

The Student Assessment Assistant, FWS essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 Assist with strategies for aggregating, analyzing and visualizing data
 Answer basic questions
 Assist with clerical projects
 Assist with data collections and data entry
 Create a friendly and welcoming environment
 Examine existing sources of course learning outcomes
 Handle and protect confidential and sensitive data with integrity
 Manage databases
 Identify and reconcile conflicts between sources
 Provide office support
 Validate data with professors and course owners
 Enter data into a new system
