Experience installing software and generating reports for a collection of over 250 Windows 10 workstations using Microsoft SCCM, PDQ, or an equivalent program.Qualifications Performs the duties of the lead computer systems specialist for the Classroom Support Group, providing support for the students, faculty, and staff in the Technology Enhanced Classrooms. Analyzes advanced network, software and system-use problems and provides solutions. Maintains servers and deploys system and application software. Installs and tests application software for access by users.
Provides technical direction for computer services while contributing to all aspects of the user support effort. Maintains contact with other groups at FSU and engages in collaborative projects as appropriate. Maintains inventory of Classroom Support hardware and software. Supports computer labs owned by other departments within FSU.
Trains new employees. Leads other employees in assigned projects. Produces documentation on the use of ITS classrooms and computer labs.
Advises the Manager of the Classroom Support Group on matters pertaining to software and systems. Recommends policies for the Classroom Support Group by defining objectives, areas of responsibility, priorities, technical standards, and methods of operation. Performs other duties as required.
Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.Preferred Experience with lecture capture software.
Experience supporting instructors in an academic environment.
Experience administering Microsoft Windows Servers.
Experience using IP networking and DNS.
Experience training others to use computer software.
Experience with virtual computing.
