The College of Medicine, Department of Cancer Biology is currently seeking a Program Manager, who will, under general supervision from a designated administrator, manage, design, develop, modify and present the Cancer and Cell Biology Graduate Program. This position will support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all our activities.
Job Duties:- Manage the Cancer and Cell Biology Graduate Program, and perform program needs assessment and make recommendations Support the Graduate Program Director in assessing and achieving program objectives and initiativesProvide admissions, advising, and administrative support to current graduate students and serve as a liaison to campus resources and professional growth opportunitiesImplement policies and procedures from the Graduate School, the College of Medicine’s Office of Graduate Education, and the Cancer and Cell Biology Graduate ProgramAct as liaison to graduate program faculty, internal departments and external entitiesMay prepare and edit reports and/or newsletters and develop publication materials; maintain graduate program website content and other platforms Coordinate speaker travel and event logistics for seminars, retreats and symposiumsManage training grant aspects including appointments, requirements, and data collection for reports Use systems such as Catalyst, Slate, Canopy, eCurriculumMaintain budget, prepare contracts, and approve and monitor expendituresPerform administrative department related dutiesOther duties as needed or assigned
- Bachelors' degree with three (3) years’ experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years’ experience; -OR- seven (7) years’ experience.
- Experience should be in program development or business administration.One year of supervisory experience.
