The Post Award Accounting Manager serves as a senior staff member by directing the invoicing and reporting team of 9 staff members. This position oversees and directs the Content 7 digital file process and is directly involved in developing policies and procedures.

  • Prior experience interpreting legal documents.
  • Ability to create and utilize existing complicated spreadsheets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of analytical skills.
  • Ability to utilize data tables/queries to assist with meeting deadlines.

  • Supervise the invoicing and reporting team.
  • Review and sign post award monthly/quarterly invoices that have been adjusted.
  • Manage monthly workload to ensure that all invoices and reports are completed accurately within the time required.
  • Assign tasks and delegate sufficient volume to accountants to ensure monthly deadlines are met.

  • Train new accountants/grants accounting specialists in the policies and procedures necessary to properly account for and report sponsored agreement transactions.
  • Explain and document complex monetary issues.

  • Assist in the development of policy and procedures.
