Preferred Qualifications Position Summary

This position is responsible for marketing, public relations, and development for the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, including its academic programs, theatre season, and other public events. Responsibilities include writing and/or supervising the writing of the department’s press releases and the design and production of posters, advertisements, brochures, video trailers, and other promotional materials for print, broadcast media, and online promotions. The position is also responsible for coordinating social media campaigns to support academic programs, development efforts, and student recruitment. The person in this position is also responsible for coordinating promotional and archival photography and video of the department’s productions, and for working closely with the College and University’s development staff to support the department’s development and donor stewardship efforts, and coordinating with Performing Arts Center to create programs and manage the box office for UGA Theatre productions.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Fluency with Photoshop and video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Premiere. Demonstrated professional-level skill as a graphic designer and illustrator in numerous styles. Excellent writing ability. Experience developing promotional campaigns for performance and/or film series. Strong organizational skills.
