Position Title: Licensed Mental Health Practitioner

Salary: 54,478

Qualifications:

Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Master Social Worker and a minimum of one (1) to three (3)years’ professional experience required. Ph.D, Psy.D, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and experience working in higher education preferred. Demonstrated leadership and program coordination skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties:

Community college counselors provide a full array of counseling, mentoring and coaching services. The Mental Health Practitioner will provide personal and educational counseling for individual students. The Mental Health Practitioner will be responsible for the evaluation of mental health and mental health related cases.The Mental Health Practitioner may provide short term intervention, but will also provide referrals to community agencies when appropriate. While the position emphasizes working with students to strengthen academic success, other responsibilities include crisis intervention, new student coaching, student development and wellness programming.
