Kennesaw State University is currently accepting applications for a Part-time Instructor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice beginning January 2019. The ability to effectively teach college-level Criminal Justice courses and a commitment to providing excellence in education is a must. The aptitude to present course teachings in such a way that students are encouraged to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills will be a primary goal for the position.
This position is on an as needed, per semester basis to teach traditional and non-traditional students. Classes may be online and/or face-to-face during weekdays or nights, as needed by the department.
Minimum required qualifications include a MS or MA in Criminal Justice (with 18 hours of relevant graduate credits), a JD, or the foreign equivalent. The department offers Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice, an accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice. The department also offers minors in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Gerontology, Medical Sociology, and Sociology.
