Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology invites applications for a full-time position as Lecturer of Anatomy and Physiology to start August 2019. Responsibilities for this position will include teaching the human anatomy and physiology course sequence and other courses as appropriate (e.g. fundamental microbiology) to pre-nursing and exercise science majors. This is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track teaching position with no research expectations. Summer teaching is optional. Flexibility to teach evenings and weekends is highly desirable. Ideal candidates will have a focus on student success and foster an engaging learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds who want to be successful in a broad range of educational goals. Other duties will include participation in departmental, college, and/or university service.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

An earned Masters or Ph.D., or its foreign equivalent, in a biological science or closely related discipline, with coursework relevant to teaching anatomy and physiology, is required. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience teaching human anatomy and physiology, other ancillary courses including microbiology, and to those with a strong interest in teaching excellence.
