Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The School of Communication and Media is creating a pool of applicants in anticipation of future openings for part-time faculty to teach lower division courses in SOCM. Classes include but are not limited to Public Speaking, Human Communication, Writing for Public Communication and CSI: COM Sources & Investigations which is the lower level intro to research methods class.

According to BoR rules, part-time faculty may teach a maximum 2-2-1 course load across all USG institutions within an academic year.

Review of applications is ongoing. This position is renewable on a semester-by-semester basis.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s Degree, or its foreign equivalent, or at least 18 credit hours in relevant coursework in Communication; or, an earned doctorate/foreign equivalent in Communication. In addition, professional experience is ideal.

Please note this posting is to identify a pool of applicants in anticipation of future openings for part-time faculty within SOCM. There is no guarantee of a maximum teaching load or schedule accommodations. We typically schedule our semester classes about a year in advance. Spring semester begins early Jan. Fall semester begins early Aug.
