Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education at Kennesaw State University is creating a pool of applicants in anticipation of future openings for part-time faculty to teach courses related to Public Health, Wellness, and Physical Education.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s degree in Public Health, Health and Physical Education or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent is required for instructors. For physical activity courses, candidates with advanced coaching certifications will be considered. Earned doctorate in Public Health, Health and Physical Education or closely related field, or its foreign equivalent is required for professorial ranks.

The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education is dedicated to preparing highly qualified and effective professionals in the areas of public health education, physical education and coaching. In addition, the department promotes the concepts of healthy living, physical fitness and sport skill acquisition in the KSU academic community and in the community at large. The department offers a BS degree in Health and Physical Education (P-12) and Public Health Education, and minors in Public Health and Coaching. The Department supports the University with a required core course, WELL 1000: Foundations for Healthy Living and provides an array of physical activity courses.
