Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The School of Music at Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a limited term full-time, benefits eligible, nine-month Assistant Director of Bands/Instructor of Music. Duties will include serving as Assistant Director for the KSU Marching Band; writing and teaching drill; arranging music; conducting and coordinating the KSU Basketball Band. In addition to working collaboratively within a large and comprehensive band program guided by the Director of Bands, duties will also include conducting the University Band and assisting in recruitment and outreach activities. Other duties may include teaching courses as needed and additional responsibilities within the School of Music. The School of Music is interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching, performing and mentoring.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, or its equivalent in training, ability, and/or experience, is required in music with extensive experience in music education, marching band, and concert ensembles at the secondary school and/or university level.
