Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

This is a limited term nine-month position. The successful candidate may also choose to teach summer term as classes are available. The candidate will be teaching a 5/5 load (fall/spring terms) of undergraduate courses in the Department of Information Technology. The position begins fall 2019. The position is up to a two-year limited term appointment. The candidate is expected to teach face-to-face (day and evening) and online courses.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Required: MS or PhD degree in a computing discipline – Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, etc. or the foreign equivalent.

Optional: teaching experience a plus; industry experience a plus, online teaching a plus.

The Information Technology Department is part of the College of Computing & Software Engineering. The department has two undergraduate degrees – the BSIT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology), and the BASIT (Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology. The department has one MS degree – MSIT (Master of Science in Information Technology. There are over 800 undergraduate students in the department and over 300 masters students. The department is located on the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University.
