Job Details
The candidate must be enrolled in a course at Morton College, with excellent interpersonal skills and have some office related experience. The candidate must be well organized, dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented and have good judgment. Must be flexible in work availability including daytime, evenings, or weekend hours. The duties and responsibilities may change as the need of the college rises.
Applicant must be a current Morton College student carrying six credit hours in the Fall and Spring semester. One credit in the Summer semester. Student must also be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
Preferred QualificationsRelated experience preferred. English-Spanish bilingual, and experience in an academic setting. Be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.
Job SummaryThe student aide will assist with the day to day operation of the office by assisting student with filling out financial aid forms. Will provide receptionist duties, such as filing, mailing, shredding and answering phone calls.
Specific Job Duties•Accurate filing and maintain files in alphabetical order
•Shredding documents
•Create new student file folders
•Prepare letter and stuff envelops for mailing
•Answering the telephone and take messages
•Maintaining the front desk with information
•Organize filling cabinets
•Restock paperwork in a timely manner
•Perform other duties as assigned
