POSITION TITLE: Fine Arts Theatre Student Worker
DEPARTMENT: Fine Arts
REPORTS TO: Technical Supervisor, Theatre

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assisting in execution of designs for JJC Theatre Productions
2. Assisting in the management of JJC musical events (concerts, recitals, etc.)
3. Assisting in front of house operations for all productions and concerts (ticketing, ushering, general support)
4. Supervising volunteers in various theatre shops (scenic, costumes, props, lighting)
5. Office duties (filing, computer, photocopying, etc.)
6. Assist Fine Arts Secretary as needed.
7. Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. 2.5 GPA or higher and in good standing with JJC
2. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at JJC
3. Practical experience in the use of hand and power tools
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
5. Accuracy in tabulations of money
6. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
7. HOURS: Flexibility in hours and the ability to work evenings and weekends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Previous theatrical work
2. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
3. Students planning to continue work in theatre encouraged to apply

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Duties are performed in an indoor environment

The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety such as crime prevention and reporting, police law enforcement authority, disciplinary procedures and other related security policies. They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous years for all JJC campuses, property owned and controlled by JJC District 525 and on public property immediately adjacent to JJC campuses.
This information is required by law and is made available by the Joliet Junior College Police Department.
