This position serves on the technology team for Student Business Services, the office on campus responsible for the assessment and collection of tuition and other fees. Student Business Services processes student financial aid and refunds, invoices third parties for student accounts, serves as the University’s cashier, and collects monies on behalf of most campus offices. This position also coordinates day-to-day data activities including report generation, data reconciliations, and overall process improvements.
The position assesses business processes and make recommendations for improvements through the implementation of technological solutions. Additionally this position is responsible for documenting business processes, conducting user testing, training staff, responding to information requests, and assisting in the development of functional specifications for system enhancement.
This position manages day-to-day data related processes in Student Business Services by reconciling data sources and running reports to ensure that data systems are balanced and operating effectively. The position works with technical resources to ensure data is mapped correctly for third party integrations and assists with local integrated data needs.
This position recommends and develops procedures to effectively administer data transfer requests, report creation or modifications, and the assurance of data quality for state and federal data requests. The position also monitors and maintains a database of regularly run queries and reports, ensuring that reports are accurate, up-to-date, and distributed to appropriate sources.
The position also assists with reconciliation of internal data systems and performs the monthly Accounts Receivable reconciliation between the Student system and the general ledger in the Financial system. This position identifies reconciling items and coordinates corrective action.
This position serves as liaison with ITS and other campus stakeholders in the implementation of new technologies and in the development of training materials for existing and new systems. Additionally, this position assists in identifying the needs of the office as related to the systematic processing of federal, state, and institutional data for the maintenance of Student Accounts.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years)

Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology.
Ability to gather, interpret, report, and/or edit information.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Preferred Experience with Oracle databases or related technologies, preferably Campus Solutions or other PeopleSoft products.
Experience reading/writing SQL.
Experience creating reports and managing data sets.Anticipated Salary Range The anticipated hiring salary for this position is in the high $40,000.00 K low $50,000.00 range annually.Pay Plan This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
