Head Cheerleading Coach (Part-Time)

Reporting to the Director of Spirit Squad and the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Operations, the Head Cheer Coach (Part-Time) is a critical member of the Athletic Department’s Spirit Squad, and interacts regularly with many constituencies. This position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Cheerleading team including scheduling and attending regular practice sessions, choreographing game-day routines for football and basketball games, scheduling and facilitating various fundraisers, ordering uniforms, coordinating various community, promotional and University appearances and creating an overall commitment to Temple University school spirit.  The Head Cheer Coach will also perform other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree and an ACA certification. Prior cheerleading experience at the collegiate or high school level. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:* Demonstrated ability to coach or understanding of collegiate cheerleading.* Ability to motivate and lead student-athletes toward competitive and academic success.* Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends.* Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.* Must have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred:* Prior experience in choreography, partner stunts, tumbling and/or skills training.
