Temple University, College of Education seeks a full time Intake and Training Specialist to support the TempleCares: Bridge to Employment program.  This is a grant-funded project and involves multiple stakeholders including the School District of Philadelphia, Temple University Health System, Temple College of Education and 1199C Training and Upgrading Fund.  This program supports a larger workforce development strategy for the City of Philadelphia with a goal of providing Philadelphia youth ages 17-21 with industry recognized training and credentials, as well as paid work experiences, that lead to long term employment in the health care field. 
The Intake and Training Specialist will work collaboratively with program staff and partners to develop and facilitate outreach and recruitment events, verify and document eligibility, and support qualified applicants to successfully complete the enrollment process.  The incumbent will also plan and coordinate the 6 week summer boot camp and fall and winter professional development events held on Temple University’s Main Campus.  The Intake and Training Specialist will leverage university and community resources to support the youths’ assessment and enrollment, academic, training, and employment and, retention goals. This position will report to Workforce Program Manager. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years directly related experience coordinating enrollment and training for grant funded programs serving youth in urban communities. The incumbent should possess strong interpersonal skills, be highly organized, able to work independently and manage complex projects and timelines.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  
Required Skills & Abilities:*Superb organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple project streams to meet deadlines. *Ability to develop flyers, brochures and other outreach materials.*Experience collecting, verifying and reporting eligibility documents and maintaining physical and electronic files.*Experience with data management systems, querying, running reports, and reviewing for quality control during audits.*Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with project management/sharing tools.*Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy compliance procedures.*Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with varied program stakeholders, students, and community members.*Informational research skills, with ability to analyze, interpret and draw inferences from findings, and prepare reports outlining recommendations.*Knowledge of workforce development skills and practices.*Experience purchasing, coordinating, and facilitating professional development events for youth.*Experience cultivating professional relationships and resources in Philadelphia.*Flexible and adaptable to meet program needs.
Preferred:*Experience with the healthcare sector and Philadelphia’s work force system
