Job Summary
Responsible for the Instructional training and safety of new students to be trained on the operation of Power Industrial Equipment (Tow-Motors) in line with OSHA Standard 1910.178.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications High School Diploma, Certified Tow-Motor Trainer Minimum of five years of demonstrated verifiable professional experience teaching Tow-Motor education. Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the strategy, management and operations of the Tow-Motor Training Program within the Transportation Center. Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES Possess comprehensive knowledge of Tow-Motor training theories, concepts and practices with the ability to apply in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus Demonstrated ability to identify mechanical and maintenance problems, and recommend appropriate solutions Possess strong organizational and time-management skills Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Ability to promote student success Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently Demonstrated intermediate project management skills Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity Ability to collaborate, persuade, gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality Ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions Ability to work independently with accuracy and great attention to detail Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population CRITICAL COMPETENCIES Service Focus Collaboration Communications VERY IMPORTANT COMPETENCIES Quality of Work Adaptability IMPORTANT COMPETENCIES Time Utilization Continuous Improvement
