The Grants Manager will independently provide pre- and post- award research and financial administration to Department of Surgery faculty/PI research focusing on basic science, translational research and clinical research/outcomes. Grants will have annual direct costs of > $250k. Coordinate, manage and track the entire proposal submission process including proposal development, budget preparation, management of subawardee requirements and all other pre-award activities. Manage all post award activities including account set-up, monitor all grant expenditures for compliance and accuracy, develop fund projections and analyses as required. This position reports to the senior administrator within the department and has a dotted reporting line to the PSOM Office of Research Support Services.Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 7 years of grant and contract administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with NIH and other federal granting agencies is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work independently as well as part of a team with faculty and staff under strict deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail.Affirmative Action Statement
