Description:

Tulane Department of Surgery is seeking a full-time, academic research assistant professor to join their growing division. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the lab: including administrative, financial and supervision of post doc(s) in the laboratory. Primary responsibilities will be to be involved in grant writing and submissions. Also to oversee and facilitate ongoing research involving experiments with animal models as well as oversee day-to-day operations in the laboratory, troubleshooting, supervising junior members of the laboratory and overall lab management.

Write and edit grants and manuscripts.

Lead and train interns and students.


Qualifications:

Minimum education: Ph.D.
Minimum qualification: Familiarity and comfort with the research laboratory environment.
Ability to oversee and perform tasks with word processing and data analysis skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Minimum experience: Five years’ experience in biological science, molecular biology, and/or cellular biology

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. degree from an accredited university with five years’ experience in US institution.
