Career Strategies


Georgia State University College of Law seeks highly qualified applicants to fill the position of Associate Director in its Center for Professional Development and Career Strategies.
Responsibilities of this position include career advisement, program development and delivery, marketing, and management of related administrative tasks.
Essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provision of individual career counseling for law students and alumni, including one-on-one counseling sessions, exploration of practice area interests, résumé and cover letter creation, development of interview skills and networking strategies, and facilitation of career progression.
  • Participation and creation of departmental program including 1L class curriculum, career resources, job search workshops, specialty presentations and communications including production of student newsletter.  Assisting with the identification and development of employment opportunities and expansion of employer outreach around the country.  
  • Maintenance of internal and external relationships to contribute to departmental collaboration.Support of recruitment programs including on campus interviews, job fairs, and other departmental events.
The position will require some evening work to accommodate students in the part-time evening program and occasional weekends.  Application review for this position will begin immediately and interviews scheduled on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

QualificationsBachelor's degree and four years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
