The Football Coordinator of Player Personnel reports directly to the Football Head Coach. The Coordinator creates and maintains recruiting structure for the program including but not limited to recruit visits, camps, communication campaigns, evaluation of transcripts, full understanding and guidance of admittance of football players to San Jose State University, and daily recruiting activities. The Coordinator must be committed to the academic goals of the university and follow the rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Mountain West Conference. Incumbent must address the needs of a student population of great diversity ¿ in age, cultural background, ethnicity, primary language and academic preparation ¿ through course materials, teaching strategies and advisement.
Required Qualifications-Bachelor¿s degree
-Demonstrated ability to organize recruiting structure for a football coaching staff
-Demonstrated ability to organize official visits, unofficial visits, camps, and other recruiting events for football recruits
-Demonstrated ability to organize recruiting data, input of data and reports given to coaching staff
-Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate high school and junior college prospects
-Demonstrated ability to work, communicate and develop rapport with students, alumni, administration and community groups
-Demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA regulations
-Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience
Preferred Qualifications-Two Year of NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision experience in a direct recruiting role (i.e. coach, player personnel, recruiting assistant).

Additional InformationSatisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
