Salary Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications
Work ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional overtime and weekends to meet deadlines and support systems.
Benefits Eligible Yes Eligible for Overtime No Position SummaryThis Senior Business Systems Analyst will analyze, define, and document requirements that translate customer needs into software solutions that support the customer’s strategic goals and business outcomes.
Education Required Bachelor's Degree Major/Discipline Substitution for Education RequirementMay substitute additional related experience above and beyond what is required on an equivalent year for year basis in lieu of the education requirement.
Education PreferredDegree or coursework in business administration, accounting, and human resources, management information systems, finance, industrial engineering or related field.
Experience Required 5 years Type of ExperienceExperience working with business and functional offices and information technology organizations on enterprise wide business systems.

Experience Preferred- Experience with business systems analysis in an ERP system implementation and operation in a complex organization
- Experience working with SAP, Oracle Cloud, Workday, PeopleSoft or other major ERP system
- Experience in a university environment
- Developing and maintaining system and process documentation
- Experience in the translation of testing scenarios into training documentation
- Experience with training end-users in new concepts, systems
- Experience with business process redesign
- Experience with project management
- Experience with advanced application configuration and testing
- Experience in advanced report development
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Knowledge of, computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flow
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
- Knowledge of principles and techniques used in conducting management studies and in systems analysis
- Current knowledge of rapidly changing computer technology

- Skill in developing and conducting training programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to bridge functional and technical resources by communicating effectively with individuals of varying systems expertise and business needs

Working Conditions- Office environment
- May require overtime and/or weekends to meet deadlines
- Translate business processes into system requirements and/or development of systems solutions
- Analyzes new business requirements, assists with feasibility of enhancement requests, system functionality, current system use and user needs
- Specify functional analysis and design and work with developers and analysts to recommend solutions and resolve system issues
- Reviews, researches and evaluates software to determine its usefulness and appropriateness; assists or develops preliminary and detailed system design documentation
- Performs configuration of enterprise application software
- Performs testing of new systems, upgrades and patching of existing systems; plans, conducts and documents results of testing
- Develops instructional materials, training, and job aids
- Analyzes data and provides data sets to users for analysis
- May include development of operational and analytical reports for end users
- Liaise with external vendors or partners in support of business systems, which may include system development, implementation and/or operations
