DescriptionTHIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION
Under general direction, the Research Assistant I will assist pursue independent and collaborative research projects that involve the design, fabrication, and quantification of organoid and cell-derived matrix platforms under the mentorship and supervision of the PI. Specifically, the Research Assistant will provide support in biomaterials fabrication and labeling, cell culture, and image analysis. Additionally, the incumbent will communicate closely with the PI and lab members on research project development, platform characterization, and experimental results. The incumbent will participate in discussions of ideas and experimental approaches, and report work progress in both oral and written form. Maintains and operates lab equipment and samples. Performs other related duties as assigned. 
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 months of related research experience. Experience in histology, cell culture, and spectroscopy.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.   
Required Skills & Abilities:*Ability to process and analyze data, and prepare presentations.  *Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.*Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.*Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff.
This is a grant funded position.
