Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Communications Officer. This position provides a link to police officers and the public to ensure safety. Responds to emergency and non-emergency needs; serves as first response for officers, students, faculty and staff. Monitors alarms, campus surveillance, phones and radios; dispatches officers; maintains daily logs, processes and files citations. Assists with FCIC rules and regulations compliance; operates GCIC/NCIC systems. May be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum QualificationsFour years high school or GED equivalent required.
