Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Building Attendant. This position ensures students are protected while living in the residence halls on campus. Monitors and remains constantly aware of all activity within and around the residence hall. Works solely in the role of enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct and Housing rules and regulations for all residents and guests. The Building Attendant is responsible for reporting all safety and building discrepancies as well as being on the alert for vandalism and violations that may result in safety hazards and/or harm; frequently responds to inquiries and exchanges information to achieve job objectives. Checks for unauthorized entry to safeguard residents; contacts Campus Police when needed. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in
this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Graduation from high school or GED, with some knowledge of building and grounds patrolling required. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions; background check required; no felony convictions.
